Jonterri Gadson

Jonterri Gadson's original half hour comedy pilot, Blurs, was named the Best Comedy Script at the 2017 New York Television Festival, where her web series pitch was awarded a development deal with Topic/First Look Media. She was chosen for the Refinery 29/TBS Riot Comedy Writers Lab in December 2017. She writes sketches/monologues/rants for an all-female comedy show called The Box in New York City. In 2016, she was selected for the NBC Late Night Writers Workshop.

She is the author of the full length poetry collection Blues Triumphant (YesYes Books, 2016) and two chapbooks, Interruptions (MIEL, 2014) and Pepper Girl (YesYes Books, 2012). She has been awarded scholarships and fellowships from Cave Canem, Bread Loaf, University of Virginia's Creative Writing MFA program and the Herbert W. Martin PostGraduate Creative Writing Fellowship at the University of Dayton in Ohio. She currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Bloomfield College in New Jersey.
